Faculty Mediation
The Faculty Peer Mediation Program provides an alternative dispute resolution process for faculty at UC San Diego. The goal of the Program is to empower faculty to resolve interpersonal disagreements with civility and respect, and to support a healthy and collegial workplace environment.
Faculty Peer Mediation is informal, confidential, and strictly voluntary. Faculty Mediators do not take sides or decide how a disagreement should be resolved.
Faculty Mediators are volunteer faculty members who have completed 40 hours of rigorous mediation skills training provided by the National Conflict Resolution Center and passed a series of performance-based simulations.
